Celebrating International Women’s Day by Helping Others
International Women’s Day takes place on March 8, 2023, and it’s celebrated all around the globe. This is a call to action for women’s equality, an occasion to celebrate the achievements of women, and last but not least, it’s a day to cherish all the women in your life.
If you didn’t know already, International Women’s Day falls each year on March 8 and is the perfect occasion to celebrate the achievements of women and to support a world that is less biased or discriminatory. So make sure to book that in your calendar and celebrate it properly.
This day is when we are kinder to women (and with ourselves) and cherish them for their hard work. To show your support on this day, bring gender equality to the forefront and stand with the beautiful and strong women around you, on this marvellous and inspiring day.
We at allbranded are firm believers in the power of women. Our 22 female colleagues that are currently working in the company are a force to be reckoned with. They are empowered individuals who strive every day to make allbranded great and to be treated just as their male counterparts. We are proud to have such beautiful souls and strong women in our team, and we value their input greatly.
With that being said, we’re planning a surprise on this special occasion, we are donating £3 for each online order placed on our website for 1 week. Therefore, the orders placed at allbranded.co.uk between 6 and 12 March 2023 will all be taken into account for this donation. Last year we gathered almost £400 and donated it to www.womensaid.org.uk. This year is no exception, we plan on supporting good causes and women all around the United Kingdom. This year, we are excited to support another organisation, ROSA.
If you’re wondering who they are, feel free to browse their website, but before that, we’ll tell you a few things about these great people. ROSA association is a registered charity that aims to gather funds and support other charities in need. By supporting them, we directly support women in need. A few of their mentionable partners are The Rape Crisis, Alliance for Choice, The Pandora Project and so on. Specifically charities which support women that have been abused or raped, are refugees, are very-low income etc. What’s even more, ROSA only supports those organisations led or governed by women, meaning the Board is mainly composed of women or the majority of employees are women and girls. They support a society where women and girls are free, safe and equal.
Although women started working fairly recently (in the last hundred years or so), they surely proved their worth. Here are a few simple reasons why it’s vital to have women in the workforce and in positions of leadership:
- Women are just as ambitious as their male counterparts
- Women are just as effective as men
- Women are more compassionate leader
- Women leaders tend to gather regular feedback from their employees
- Women communicate clearly the plans and guidelines at work
- Women invest in fostering friendly relationships and safe environments
